Development of a Fleet Management SaaS platform to control tens of thousands of trucks around the globe, having a tracking system and software screens to display the location and the status of each truck. Ability to know the route of each vehicle and status of the engine of the truck. Ability to define zones and special alerts while entering or leaving geographic zones. The software development consists of a client and server side to manage a very large database content – big-data database.

The main challenge of the fleet management project was to succeed to have the most accurate information of tens of thousands of vehicles (~30,000 tracks) in a specific time with a minimum of a 6 second latency. Information included, location, engine status, speed, route, all shown on a dynamic google map.

Development of a rich client GWT application with a server logic layer that is developed in ASP.NET and C#. Using JSON as the communication protocol. SQL server as the database to keep track and history of Vehicle locations.

A successful platform to control a fleet and to manage the fleet through a user-friendly web application that is accessible from any location. Vehicle status and information is updated with a minimum of latency within seconds and is displayed in google maps. Relevant to uber technologies software development
